How it is calculated

Hours = part numbers × characteristics × minutes ÷ 60. The saving is the difference between today and with GALGA, times your hourly cost. It leaves out the time to measure the part, which is the same with or without GALGA.

Where the starting values come from

They are our estimates for a typical moulded part, not measured at customers. When the first pilots finish we will replace each value with the measured average and say so here, with the date. If your case is different, change the numbers: the result updates instantly.

Why 2 minutes per characteristic?

It is an estimate for reading the dimension on the drawing or in CAD, typing it with its tolerance, numbering it and placing the balloon. Some people are faster and some are much slower, which is why you can change it.

GALGA was born in Valencia, in the automotive industry. It was built by design and production engineers with more than twenty years in moulds, injection moulding, gauges and dimensional inspection. Every launch started the same way: the customer’s 3D model, hundreds of dimensions and someone typing them into a spreadsheet by hand. We built it so we could stop doing that.
